Ranchland Foods, LLC Announces Move to Denton

DENTON, TX, May 12, 2021 – The Denton Economic Development Partnership is proud to welcome our newest business partner to the community, Ranchland Foods, LLC. Ranchland Foods, a food production and brand development company committed to sustainable ranching practices, has announced it will move its corporate headquarters and some distribution operations to Denton.

As part of the relocation, Ranchland Foods was awarded an economic development grant from the City of Denton based on the company’s commitment to creating approximately 140 new jobs, with anaverage wage of $70,000, over the next five years. Ranchland will lease 63,000 square feet in the former Miller Beer building at 2421 I-35 Frontage Rd, investing an additional $5.7M in improvements, fixtures,
and equipment for their operation.

Ranchland Foods is the ideal type of company to locate in Denton,” said Cory Lacy, VP of Economic Development for the Denton Economic Development Partnership. Ranchland Foods CEO Ken Davis and the entire team have been great to work with and their business model offers tremendous opportunities for this community. We look forward to working with them as they continue to grow in Denton.”

Ranchland Foods was originally founded as a family-owned and operated cattle ranch in northeastern Arizona. They were committed to raising their cattle cruelty-free and with sustainable ranching practices. They became known for our all natural grass-fed and grass-finished Angus beef products as they started shipping their product across the southwestern US. The increase in demand for healthy all natural meats with no added hormones or antibiotics allowed them to grow and add healthier options in all natural poultry and pork products. Their brands became attractive for professional athletes and clients with health complications. The company has recently expanded our meat products to include healthier Texas Angus and prepared meals.

Ranchland Foods will relocate its corporate headquarters as well as its third-party logistics e-commerce fulfillment center operations to Denton. This relocation offers Ranchland Foods the opportunity to expand its regional food services and distribution capabilities in the north and central Texas and southern Oklahoma because of Denton’s location on the I-35 corridor.
