Workforce Data

More than 6,300 companies do business in Denton. Much of the labor shed has received their training right here in Denton, which is home to two major universities and one community college, the University of North Texas (UNT), Texas Woman’s University (TWU), and North Central Texas College (NCTC). Specialized training for local businesses is also provided by NCTC. Denton Independent School District (DISD) sets the foundation for our youth with a curriculum that includes advanced technology, instruction and business/life skills.
