Jessica Rogers
Director of Economic Development | City of Denton
Jessica Rogers was appointed Director of Economic Development for the City of Denton in April 2019. Prior to her current role, Jessica served as the Deputy Director of Public Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations where she focused on state and federal advocacy and community outreach and engagement projects. Jessica has previously held roles in finance, budget, utilities, and economic development.

Cory Lacy
Vice President of Economic Development | Denton EDP
Cory is a seasoned economic development, sales and commercial real estate professional. Cory most recently served as the President of the Best Southwest Partnership. The Best Southwest Partnership is a cooperative effort among the founding partners of Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, Lancaster, and various other community and business partners in southern Dallas and northern Ellis counties. From 2003- 2016, Cory worked for Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Fort Worth, Texas and was responsible for the management and oversight of a team dedicated to providing economic development services for JLL rail clients. Those services included project management, site selection, contract negotiation, process management and relationship building. Prior to joining JLL, Cory owned an economic development consulting firm specializing in assisting economic development corporations, local governments and site selectors with strategic planning, labor analysis, and incentive policy creation and implementation. His prior experience includes business recruitment and retention, real estate acquisition, planning, permitting, financing, facility design and leasing. Cory is active in several organizations including the International Economic Development Council and the Texas Economic Development Council, serving on the board of directors from 2000-2005.

Kay Brown-Patrick

Kay Brown-Patrick recently joined the City of Denton’s Economic Development Department and is responsible for Denton’s business retention, expansion and workforce development efforts, and the City’s education and international partnerships. Kay has over 10 years of experience in Economic Development. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Public Administration from the University of North Texas. She is also a graduate of the University of Oklahoma's Economic Development Institute. She is a member of the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) , the International Economic Development Council (IEDC); were she serves on the Young Professionals Advisory Board and the Racism and Economic Development Committee, and the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA); were she serves as Parliamentarian and on the Emerging Leaders Council.

Christina Davis
Economic Development Specialist | City of Denton
Christina Davis, Economic Development Marketing Specialist, joined the City of Denton Economic Development in September of 2006. Prior to working for the City of Denton, Christina worked eight years for the City of Modesto, CA, in the Business Development Division of Community & Economic Development, and the Modesto Redevelopment Agency. During her time in Modesto she was responsible for marketing Modesto, branding the Redevelopment Agency, and served as interim Business Analyst. Currently, Christina is the creative talent and editor for several economic development publications and coordinator for retail marketing programs for the City. Ms. Davis holds an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Valley Commercial College and is a certified Paralegal.

Dan Rosenfield
Economic Development Analyst | City of Denton
Dan Rosenfield joined the City of Denton’s Economic Development Department in August 2020. Prior to the City of Denton, he worked on the business development team for a Washington, D.C. consultancy. He has also served as a public affairs officer for the U.S. Air Force, where he focused on environmental and tribal affairs. Dan graduated from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Associate in Project Management.

Erica Sullivan joined the City of Denton’s Economic Development Department in 2008. Prior to her current position, she worked for the Heart of Texas Council of Governments for six years and most recently served as Director of Regional Services for the organization. Erica has over 15 years experience in government and 10 years in the Economic Development field. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Political Science from the University of Texas at El Paso. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma's Economic Development Institute and the City of Denton's Leadership Certification Program. She is a member of the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) and has served on two of the association's committees. She was a speaker at the Technology Basics for Small Business Training in Denton, Texas in July 2009 and the Texas Environmental Trade Fair in Austin, Texas in May 2007.
