Team Texas was strongly represented by more than 20 members from 16 cities and organizations at the recent 2017 MRO Americas & Aviation Week Conference & Exposition held in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center.

Team Texas members made contact with hundreds of dynamic companies representing supply chain, machinery, equipment, repairs and operations related to the aviation, aerospace and defense industries. Team Texas members secured a booth, worked the floor as a team and hosted a hospitality event for invited guests.  Members also made an effort to recognize and thank all Texas aviation and aerospace companies attending the conference for their contribution to the Texas economy.

MRO Americas is the flagship of Aviation Week Network's MRO event series. For 22 years, the commercial air transport maintenance, repair and overhaul community has recognized MRO Americas as the industry's premiere event. The three-day conference and exhibition provides top thought leadership and the ultimate networking venue. It is the optimum location to hear the latest trends, implement best practices, meet the experts, network with industry leaders, develop business and promote states, regions and cities for expansion opportunities.

Texas is one of the most important locations for the global aerospace and aviation industry. The broad range of aerospace activities in Texas includes fighter plane and helicopter assembly, military pilot training, navigation instrument development, advanced space-flight research, and commercial space travel. The aerospace and aviation industry directly employs more than 135,000 Texas workers at approximately 1,300 firms.
