Workforce Data

More than 5,800 companies do business in Denton. Much of the labor shed has received their training right here in Denton, which is home to two major universities, the University of North Texas (UNT) and Texas Woman’s University (TWU). Specialized training for local businesses is also provided by North Central Texas College (NCTC). Denton Independent School District (DISD) sets the foundation for our youth with a curriculum that includes advanced technology, instruction and business/life skills.
